Administration
Coordinator, Georgia State University Prison Education Project, 2019-2023
  • Communicate with GSUPEP Director and Associate Dean of Student Success to facilitate program through emails, ad-hoc and standing meetings, and in-person meetings with Corrections officials.
  • Regular communication and meetings with Registrar, Development, Financial Aid, Admissions, Student Accounts, and other pertinent GSU offices
  • Soliciting and collecting student applications, submitting to admissions, coordination of withdrawal of students, additions of new students, and keeping up with student progress toward degrees
  • Recruitment, training, and regular communication with each semester’s faculty at prison site
  • Plan course offerings, find teachers, coordinate with schedulers and registrar to create and populate courses
  • Gathering, ordering, and tracking book orders, supplies, and student needs
  • Regular trips to prison site to meet with students, drop off supplies, and other tasks as needed (travel will be reimbursed)
  • Work with returning citizens to help them apply to Perimeter College and GSU
  • Coordinate and support testing services at new prisons and for new students
